This new PLA (polylactic acid) plastic has the same properties as normal PLA, but it changes its color when exposed to UV radiation or temperatures higher than 30 ºC. The printed objects will change color faster if more heat is applied.
Color changing PLA is a fun material. Print your own bracelet, key chain or accessories.
The grey and blue (TEMP) filament looses its color when exposed to temperatures over 30ºC. It recovers its inicial color when cooling down.
Whereas the UV filament works the other way round: First, it is colorless. When it is exposed to the sun light or UV radiation, its color changes to red or purple. At the moment you remove it from the radiation, it turns colorless again.
We have found an optimal adhesion to the platform when printing on glass using lacquer that varies its properties
depending on the temperature.
Our filament is made by 3D Prima
. It is non-toxic and has a very good layer adhesion and a tight diameter tolerance (+/- 0,05mm).
The filament is delivered on 0,5 Kg spools.
