E3D Cyclops Extruder

This extruder is able to combine and mix two different printing materials allowing to print degrading colors or two independent colors. E3D designed this experimental extruder for all types of materials.

If you mix different filaments, use similar materials, e.g. PLA and PLA. However, it is possible to combine some other materials such as ABS and flexible filament.

• The extruder reaches temperatures up to 300ºC with the delivered thermistor. If you replace the thermistor by a thermocouple, it can reach up to 400ºC
• Fast heating time: from 20ºC to 200ºC in 65 seconds
• Temperature control with tolerance +-0.5ºC at selected temperature
• Body made of aluminium, nozzle made of brass

The extruder includes a ceramic heater cartridge and a 100K thermistor, both assembled and wired. Also included are two pneumatic fittings that allow to connect a PTFE tube and thus use it as a bowden extruder, as well as a 30x30mm axial fan.



By extruding only 30cm you can eliminate the rest of the previous filament and continue printing with the following color without mixing the two materials, specially if you use Cura.
