HIPS plastic has good impact resistance and is easily processed by injection molding and extrusion.
It is very light and uses a printing temperature similar to ABS.
Ideal for support structures in combination with ABS, because they are soluble in different solvents.
We have found an optimal adhesion to the heated bed printing on cold platforms ( ≈ 176 °F) with masking tape or a crystal platform with lacquer that varies its properties with temperature.
Coils occurs in 2,2 lb weight.
• It is soluble in D-Limonene.
• Does not support UV rays. Fades the color and become brittle.
